Abomasal nematodes of ruminants: | Order: Strongylida (GIT strongyles) | Superfamily: Trichostrongyloidea | Family: Trichostrongylidae
Female (length: 1-1.5 cm). Thin brownish worm, posteriorly pointed. Relatively well-developed vulval flap. Uterus containing numerous typical strongyle eggs.
Male. Length up to 1 cm. Very thin worm. Bursa present, but not very well-developed. Two slender spicules laciniated at the distal end.
         
Hosts: Cattle.
Location: Abomasum.
