Small intestinal nematodes of ruminants: | Order: Strongylida (GIT strongyles) | Superfamily: Trichostrongyloidea | Family: Trichostrongylidae
Adult Cooperia oncophora worms from cattle (length: 0.5-1 cm). Distinctive coiled shape.
Male (C. curticei, mounted specimen) from sheep. Spicules visible, but gubernaculum is absent.
         
C. oncophora hosts: Cattle.
C. curticei hosts: Sheep, goats.
Location: Small intestine.
