Nematodes in the equine small intestine: | Superfamily: Ascaridoidea | Family: Ascarididae
Adults. Thick, stout worms, with a length from 25 cm (males) to 45 cm (females). Anterior end rounded with three strong chitinous lips surrounding the mouth opening. The male posterior end is slightly curved. The female posterior end is straight and bluntly pointed.
Hosts: Equines.
Location: Small intestine.
