Hestens bændelorm (The equine tapeworm)
Equine tapeworms in ileum and caecum: | Class: Cestoda | Family: Anoplocephalidae.
Adults (length: 4-6 cm). Scolex with four suckers and four lappets to match. Short and wide segments - the gravid posterior ones in particular.
Hosts: Equines.
Intermediate hosts: Mites of the family Oribatidae.
Location: Small intestine.
