Specific morphology: Adult specimen (length: 1.5-2 mm). Short, broad and yellowish. Entire body relatively wide.

Intermediate host for Dipylidium caninum.
|
|
 |
General morphology of chewing lice: Wingless, dorso-ventrally flattened insects.
Head: Wider than thorax, rounded front, chewing mouthparts, oblong lateral antennae.
Abdominal segments: Whitish or light brownish, wider than thorax.
Eggs: Attached to the hairs on the host (applying to all types of lice).
