Kvægets pelslus (Chewing louse of cattle)
Order: Phthiraptera: Lice | Suborder: Mallophaga: Chewing lice.
Specific morphology: Adult specimen (length: 1-1.5 mm) and eggs. Abdominal segments whitish.
Notice: Oblong, segmented antennae and triangular mandibles (chewing mouth parts) are visible.
       
Hosts: Cattle
General morphology of chewing lice: Wingless, dorso-ventrally flattened insects.
Head: Wider than thorax, rounded front, chewing mouthparts, oblong lateral antennae.
Abdominal segments: Whitish or light brownish, wider than thorax.
Eggs: Attached to the hairs on the host (applying to all types of lice).
