Bromthymol-blue Sucrose Agar Bromthymol-blue Sucrose Agar
Yersinia enterocolitica on BS Agar. The bacterium ferments sucrose, producing acid and turning the colonies and agar yellow.
The same agar plate examined with transmitted light.
 
 
This agar is used to determine whether an organism can ferment sucrose.
