Correct name: Klebsiella pneumoniae subsp. pneumoniae.

Medium sized, grey colonies, which cause no alteration of the blood.
 
 
 
 
General characteristics: Gram-negative short rods. Catalase-positive and oxidase-negative. Attacks sugars fermentatively and gas is produced. Non-motile. Mesophile.
