Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae
After 48 hours the colonies are pinpoint to small. They are unpigmented and transparent. The colonies cause no alteration of the blood.
 
 
 
General characteristics: Gram-positive slender rods. Catalase-negative and oxidase-positive. Attacks sugars fermentatively. Non-motile.
