Repetetive element based PCR (rep-PCR) typing
Agarose gel electrophoresis af Rep-PCR patterns. DNA appears as bright white bands under UV-light.

Rep-PCR is PCR with primers specific for repeated sequences in the target DNA. The number and sizes of bands relects the presence of such elements and typing is performed by comparison on the number and sizes of fragments.

Lane 1 and lane 11 are molecular size markers. Lane 2 to 10 contains rep-PCR profiles of typed strains.

The strains in lanes 2-5 show show identical pattern and the strains n lanes 7-9 show identical patterns.
