Campylobacter on CCDA. Thermophilic campylobacters swarms on this agar producing flat, spreading, glistening colonies. Older colonies may have a green hue or appear dry. Some strains may develop a metallic sheen.
Uninoculated medium.
 
 
 
This agar is used for isolation of Campylobacter. Selectivity is achieved by inclusion of cefoperazone and amphotericin B, the latter of which suppresses growth of yeast and fungi.
