Bacillus circulans
Bacillus circulans
Semi-transparent colonies of varying size. As the colonies grow they become less transparent. Motile microcolonies rotate over the surface of the agar, causing the agar to become covered relatively quickly. When light hits the surface of the agar obliquely, thin trails can be seen between the original colonies and the microcolonies.
